A little bit about me.

I'm Jayla Andrulonis, a content strategist and copywriter based in Austin, TX.

I started in journalism — learning how to ask better questions, translate complex ideas, and write for real people on deadline. Those instincts still drive everything I do.

I spent two years in ecommerce editorial at Meredith Corporation writing and optimizing content for People, InStyle, Real Simple, Health, and Travel + Leisure — where I learned how content connects directly to revenue and how to produce quality work at scale.

From there I moved into in-house roles at Everly Health and UFCU, working inside companies where messaging had to navigate compliance, earn trust, and support real business goals. I learned how content actually functions inside an organization — not just as deliverables, but as part of how a brand grows.

Now I work with B2B tech and SaaS companies as a freelance strategist and copywriter. I'm currently helping an open source security company rebuild their outbound messaging and positioning as AI reshapes their buyer landscape — mapping discovery insights to evolving personas and building copy that reflects where the market actually is.

I bring editorial rigor to everything I work on. I ask the questions most writers don't, translate complexity without dumbing it down, and build content that serves both the business and the reader.

Currently available for projects, retainers, and individual deliverables — Austin-based and remote.
